The legal warranty (hidden defects/conformity) applies only if the following procedure is followed. The customer must provide proof via a detailed invoice from an approved professional. Pre-installation: check circuits (water, oil, air, fuel); replace filters, plugs, timing kit, gaskets and fluids; timing with manufacturer tools. Post-installation: check warning lights; electronic reset by approved professional; oil and filter change after 1000 km. Key requirement: mandatory video of oil pressure build-up (0.5 bar before starting). Without video proof, the warranty is void.
13. Legal warranties
Used engines benefit from a conformity warranty (10 months) and a warranty against hidden defects. Exclusions: normal wear or external damage; non-compliance with the installation procedure. Other components not warranted: caps, plastic parts, sensors and electrical connectors. The customer or garage must check these before installation. Auketra is not liable for defective parts supplied free of charge. Labour for removal of defective parts is at the customer's expense. Parts sold subject to further testing: injectors, turbo (partial check), injection pump. If a part is defective before installation, Auketra will replace it subject to expert report. No refund of labour costs if a defective part was installed.
14. Quality checks carried out by Auketra
Engines: crankshaft rotation check, cold compression test, visual inspection of cylinder head, crankshaft check after sump removal. Accessories: turbo (axis rotation and blade condition checked; sealing and variable geometry not guaranteed); injectors and injection pumps not tested (no dedicated equipment).
15. Warranty and coverage
10-month warranty on engines subject to installation by a certified professional. Fitting invoice to be sent within 15 days by registered post. Exclusions: injectors, turbo, etc.; storage or compensation costs. In case of defect: before installation: exchange or refund; repairable defect: Auketra supplies used parts (except new gaskets/bolts) and covers labour per approved quote; irreparable defect: replacement with equivalent engine (±20% mileage) or refund. Auketra may appoint an expert if the garage's competence is in doubt. Any fraud voids the warranty.
16. Legal warranty and consumer rights
Under the order of 18 December 2014, the customer benefits from a legal conformity warranty (2 years), including choice between repair and replacement, and a warranty against hidden defects (Civil Code, art. 1641).

Send complaints first to Auketra via [email protected]. Recourse to the CNPA Mediator or the European dispute resolution platform is possible.
